It's mine! It's all mine!!
As people who know me well know i love James Bond. I had the collection of all the films before i left (the Special Edition) but now they have come out with the "Ultimate Edition" which is exaclt the same but with about three more special features.
Last Thursday night i had a pretty big James Bond night. I was reading the reviews of the upcoming release of "Casino Royale" whilst listening to the soundtrack of "Die Another Day" and just finished watching my Ultimate Edition of "Moonraker" when above all that i heard the James Bond theme coming from my parents room. My mum likes to fall asleep with the radio on and as usual the sound was up to about 135 decibels.
As soon as i heard the theme i sprinted to my parents room thinking the radio show (Bruce and Phil on 3AW) were going to talk about the new movie. What was actually happening was a competition and they wanted two people who are James Bond fans to call. Naturally i picked up the phone and started dialling and the line was engaged. I wasn't going to give up so i dialled a couple more times and heard someone say "What's your name?" "Mark"
It was a quiz where 5 questions were going to be asked. You had to shout out your name and then answer the question. Needless to say the other guy who i was playing against didn't stand a chance. I answered the first three questions so quickly that the hosts of the show said "Well there's no point asking the other two questions so congratulations Mark." I was punching the air in excitement as this box set has now saved me about $300 and considering i started purchasing them last week i now don't have to purchase anymore.
I'm a Bond freak and now i have the movies to prove it.
